Despite the bright sunshine during the last week the Eyebrook trout have still obliged anglers and accepted their offerings of buzzers and Diawl bach’s fished on floating lines.

Bank anglers have enjoyed exceptional sport from the Dam wall, The Hawthorns and the Three Trees.

Mr Peacock of Fakenham took a cracking 7lb 7oz rainbow while fishing the Dam wall; this fine fish was taken on a Damsel nymph.

Peter Nesbitt of Doncaster took eight cracking rainbows for 20lb 9oz from The Hawthorns and returned nine more; Peter fished with Black buzzers on a floating line. Stuart Normington of Grantham took eight beauties from the Three trees bank on a Montana nymph.

John Woolacott of Duston Northampton anchored his boat near to the bell and took eight fine rainbows on a Diawl bach; John’s heaviest fish weighed 9lb 6oz. Season ticket holders Jim Watts and Kate Richen’s of Market Harborough boat fished and Kate managed her personal best rainbow, a cracker that weighed 5lb 8oz; well done Kate.

Thanks to Mr Schofield and party from the Bristol area who enjoyed some great fishing at Eyebrook recently, see you all again soon lads.

Gerry Horner accompanied by his son Richard finished their three days fishing at Eyebrook in good style when Gerry caught a super 9lb 11oz Rainbow on a Black buzzer from the Three Trees area.
