3rd to 10th May 2010Congratulations to Bill Hill of Wilbarston who has caught the heaviest rainbow of the season so far, a superb fish that weighed 16lb 2oz.
Bill was boat fishing at the Three Trees and took his fine fish on a White lure. Eyebrook fishery staff all agreed that Bill’s fish had most certainly over wintered.
The Surrey section of the Salmon and Trout Association “Fishing for Fun” lads spent a couple of days at the fishery recently and although the weather left a little to be desired, enjoyed the fishing immensely.
Derek Edwards and John Roberts from Swansea boat fished and took some quality rainbows on size 10 Black buzzers.
Paul Crane and Colin Lattimore both of Middleton enjoyed great days sport boat fishing at Stoke Dry, the pair catching sixteen fish for 46lb on Black buzzers.
Phil McGuire boat fished with the Vets Association and took a super 12lb 3oz rainbow on a Black Buzzer fished on a floating line.
