10th to 17th May 2010Season ticket holder David Minard of Sibsey boat fished and took six cracking rainbows for 16lb 3oz on Buzzers and a Grey Duster.
Fishing Guide Chris Woodward of Frampton took Phil Wrisdale boat fishing on Eyebrook and enjoyed frenetic sport. The pair took ten rainbows for 27lb on a Diawl bach, the best fish weighed 5lb 3oz.
Organiser David James deemed The Philips Fly Fishing Match a great success; eighteen anglers took sixty-one fish, giving a rod average of 3.38.
Frank Milner of Glaston accompanied by his brother Roger, boat fished the Old Bird Hide, only four fish were taken, but they weighed 17lb in total.
Barclays held their National Boat Competition recently, David Currie took eight fish for 25lb 4oz, Ian Pow took eight for 22lb 4oz and Paul Ravenscroft took seven for 20lb 4oz. David Currie also included the heaviest fish in his bag of eight, a cracking rainbow of 9lb 8oz.
Tony Speakman of Fazely boat fished at Mucky Bay and took eight fine rainbows for 18lb 12oz on size 14 Black Crunchers and Diawl bach.
Carl Bozicek of Broughton included specimens of 6lb 8oz, 3lb 8oz and 3lb 6oz in his limit bag; Carl took all his fish on Pheasant tail nymphs.
Season ticket holder Garry Smith of Corby recorded a nice brace of rainbows from the bank, 6lb 6oz and 5lb 15oz.
