Dave Adkins of Newtown took a lovely 8lb 13oz rainbow while bank fishing from the Bell. Dave caught the beauty on the Washing Line method.
Alec and Norma Cruickshank of Ellon enjoyed some quality boat fishing during the week; Alec’s biggest fish, caught off the Bell area tipped the scales to 10lb 1oz and fell to a Soldier Palmer fished on a floating line.
The Association of Major Fishing Clubs held one of their heats at Eyebrook in scorching hot conditions. Teams represented were Fish Hawks, Hanningfield FF, Rutland Water FF, Bewl Bridge and Bristol reservoirs, eventual winners Fish Hawks gained top spot and a well-deserved 5 points.
Alex Booth Fly Fishers enjoyed their boat competition at the fishery, again fished in sweltering conditions, the well deserved winner of this match with eight fish for 19lb was Dave Johnson, runner up was Rob Dobson with seven fish for 13lb.

The Lexus European Fly Fishing Championships ‘Eyebrook Heats’ hosted by John Horsey will be held this Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd July 2010. Entry forms are still available at the Eyebrook Fishing Lodge.
